Our Statement of Faith
That the Bible is the fully inspired Word of God, and is our supreme
authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
That there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three
persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
That God
the Father cares deeply for people, hearing and answering prayer,
and saving from sin all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
That Jesus Christ
was sinless and died a substitutionary death
for us so that our sins can be forgiven. He was raised from the
dead, ascended into heaven, and now mediates for His people before His
return to earth.
That the Holy Spirit is God
with us who has come from the Father and Son, enabling us to live a life
according to God's design.
That all people,
by nature and choice, are sinners under a death sentence. Those
who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are given
new life by the Holy Spirit.
That Jesus Christ
will return to earth and establish His visible kingdom. Our
bodies will be raised for the final judgment. The lost will
experience eternal punishment, the righteous eternal life.
That the church is a living spiritual body of which Christ is the
head and all regenerated persons are members. As a local church,
Edinbrook's primary task is to effectively bring the gospel of Jesus
Christ to a lost world. |
