MINISTRY

About SWAP . . .

The acronym SWAP stands for "Students With A Passion". It's our desire to see all of our students in grades 7-12 "swap" an old life living for themselves for a new and passionate relationship with Jesus. Our mission is to build a SWAP Student Community that aligns itself with Jesus Christ. The mission is simple, but following it can be a challenge - especially for teens. But we believe it's possible! Real life change happens when teens are in alignment with Jesus Christ. Choosing to be aligned with Jesus is a choice and can be accomplished by living out three words:

  • TURN

From your old ways and admit that you are a sinner

    Acts 3:19

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

What to expect on Wednesdays . . .

6:30-8:00 pm | Wednesday Nights

When students arrive, they should enter through Door #1 and head up the stairwell to their immediate right. Upstairs, students will find a warm and friendly atmosphere designed with teens in mind. Students will be checked in by a friendly SWAP volunteer and then they are free to mingle and hang with their peers. They can play some Foosball, ping pong, billiards, a video game or two, or just relax on the couches and have a laugh. Parents can use the SWAP Student Registration form if they are new so we can be ready to expect and greet your student when they arrive.

Come early for dinner at 5:45 pm! Check out the SWAP Shop menu below.

After dinner, students gather in the Sr. High Room for a crowd breaker/ice breaker followed by a time of worship. Worship is something simple we do to encourage students to sing songs to God from the heart. Following some singing, students split into Jr. High age and Sr. High age and will be challenged by a short message from one of the leaders.

After this short teaching time, all students will move into what we call Core Groups. A Core Group is a small group designed for your student to connect with an adult same-gender leader who will love on your student and encourage them in their faith. Core Groups are divided by grade and gender so your student will always be with students of the same age and maturity level.

We believe there is great value in our Core Groups as they provide a time for relationship building, and most importantly, a great setting to dive into the Word of God to see how He desires to be the biggest part of your student’s life - not just now but for all eternity.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

What to expect on Sundays . . .

9:30-10:30 am | Sunday Mornings

All students in grades 7-12 are invited and encouraged to attend Sunday Morning SWAP.

Jr. High SWAP (grades 7-8) meets in Room 201. Currently the Jr. High is studying the video series "Eternity" by Francis Chan. We are exploring what eternity is and how the Bible shapes our view of eternity as we live here on earth now.

Sr. High SWAP (grades 9-12) meets in Room 202. Currently the Sr. High is on a journey through the book of Acts and is focusing on how God’s Truth was unleashed through the spreading of the Gospel. Persecution was abundant for those who chose to love and live for Jesus, but that did not keep their mouths shut. Everywhere people went – Jesus was being spoken about and people were giving their lives to Him. There are many things we can learn and apply today from the book of Acts…come along for the ride!
