BEGINNINGS IS FOR AGES BIRTH THRU KINDERGARTEN
Children are introduced to God the Father by teaching them three key truths: God made me, God loves me, Jesus wants to be their friend forever. We believe our littlest ones should have their first look at God! Large and small group experiences are planned and Bible teaching is reinforced with songs, stories and activities designed around the abilities and interests of the children.
What To Expect When You Bring Your Little Ones to BEGINNINGS
When you arrive at Edinbrook Church, you will enter through door #2 located in the middle of the building. Upon entering you will find several computer "check-in" stations to check your child in. If you are new, you are simply asked to complete a simple, half-page info sheet so we can get you on your way. Or, if you would like to register your child(ren) so they are in the system when you arrive, you can complete the NEW Family Registration form prior to coming.
DURING THE HOUR
When your child enters the age-appropriate classroom for the hour, they will find bright, colorful rooms with several activities and toys to start the morning.
A typical Sunday morning experience for kids ages 12 months thru Kindergarten can include any or all of the following activities:
- An interactive story time
- Singing and moving
- Fun crafts to take home at the end of the hour
- A yummy snack
- Games to engage your child's playful side
- And loads and loads of fun!
A typical Sunday morning experience for our smallest ones in the Nursery (Birth-12 months) includes being sung to, hugged, held, rocked, and prayed over by our wonderful volunteers in our brightly colored Nursery room.
We Care About the Safety of Your Children
For safety and security, parents are provided with two stickers from the computer check-in stations: one for the parents to keep and one that will go on the child's back. These stickers contain a matching code to ensure that the correct parents pick up the matching child following services. In fact, we're so serious about the safety of our children that we have a security team member who "patrols" the hallway of our Beginnings ministry area during both worship hours as well.
Each child's classroom is led by a set of two or more teachers who will greet your child with friendly smiles and excitement. All of our classroom teachers have passed a background check before being allowed to serve in our early childhood area.
