DISCOVERY IS FOR KIDS IN GRADES 1 THRU 4
At Discovery Kids, we want all kids to know that God loves them, and that God considers them His friend and Savior. We believe this is essential to the faith formation of our children. We desire to partner with parents to help our kids become true Jesus followers.
What To Expect When You Bring Your Kids to Discovery
When you arrive at Edinbrook Church, you will enter through door #1. When you enter our main lobby, you can take an immediate right and head down the stairwell to our Discovery space. Upon entering the area you will be greeted by Kids Ministry workers who will help you at a computer "check-in" station to check your child in. If you are new, you are simply asked to complete a simple, half-page info sheet so we can get you on your way. Or, if you would like to register your child(ren) so they are in the system when you arrive, you can complete the NEW Family Registration form prior to coming.
DURING THE HOUR...
When your child enters the Discovery Kids area, they will experience several creative and interactive experiences during the hour.
During the 9:30 am hour kids will experience the following:
First, worship and discovery Time is an energetic large group experience where kids are encouraged to participate and move their bodies. Bible Lessons are creatively presented to help kids know what the Bible teaches us about God and to help them discover what He would say to them.
Second, small group time provides similar-age group interaction with friends and a leader who knows them and cares for them. Discussion emphasizes the point of the lesson of the day and how to use what they learn in their day-to-day walk with Jesus. These discussions are reinforced with creative avenues such as crafts, games and learning opportunities.
During the 11:00 am hour kids will experience all of the above only in a large group experience rather than dividing into small groups with similar-aged peers
