The Gifts of Christmas | The Gift of Peace

Tyler Roland | December 21

This Sunday we are focusing on the gift of peace. A peace that doesn’t come from quiet circumstances but from the presence of God. In Luke 2, the angels proclaim “peace on earth” in the middle of fear and chaos as shepherds are startled by the glory of God and rushed into an unexpected encounter with the newborn King. Christmas was not calm or orderly, yet it was precisely into that chaos that Jesus came. As He later promised, the peace He gives is not like the world gives (John 14:27). True peace is found in Him, peace with God, peace within our hearts, and peace that overflows into how we live with others, making Jesus the greatest gift of Christmas.
