When David is led to build an altar, he understands that it requires a personal sacrifice. David recognizes how important our sacrifices are to God and how they bring His favor into our lives. It’s natural to desire salvation without sacrifice, but if we truly want to experience the full life God offers, we need to acknowledge the costs involved in following Jesus. This week, we will be encouraged to reflect on that cost and consider why such sacrifice could be the key to changing out lives for the better.
